The all new 2.2 series pre-amplifier is the result of three years of R&D. It offers un-rivalled flexibility whilst retaining the essential musical rhythm and drive without eschewing the usual 'Hi-Fi' values of good imaging, detail and dynamics. All at an affordable price level.

The Hurricane 2.2 pre-amplifier is, if not unique, one of the only high quality pre-amplifiers available which allows direct connection of an audio processor offering master volume control over all 6 channels without compromising your two channel sound quality in any way.

This enables you maximize the sound quality from your AV system by putting the master gain in the analogue domain, where it belongs and setting the digital volume control of your existing processor to maximum (0dB) so that you do not loose all of those vital digital bits. The difference is nothing short of amazing.

The Hurricane 2.2's mother board has been completely 'stolen' from our previous, more expensive 3.1B model -  which has now been upgraded to the new Hurricane 3.2 model -  however to reduce it's cost we have used smaller power supply components and re-housed it into the standard 2.2 metalwork.  As a result it retains all of the facilities of it's former bigger brother and almost all of it's performance attributes.

As the UK's first and now least expensive 6 channel pre-amplifier this brings unrivalled performance, flexibility and value. In addition it offers a fully balanced dedicated CD input and fully balanced main outputs for optimised stereo listening.

This pre-amplifier should be at the heart of all systems whether your preference lies with high quality A/V, multichannel music or normal stereo replay . Discerning audiophiles who want the best of all worlds will not be disappointed especially when partnered with our Tornado 2.2 series of power amplifiers
