The initial product is the Signature 3 Power amplifier which is a single chassis, dual mono 300W MOSFET design, see picture below, Both this and the matching Signature 3 Pre-amplifier will be released in April 2005 Aimed firmly at the real high end American, European and Far eastern markets these products are designed to prove that not only can we design and build good quality high value products but we can translate this into true high end products that both look and sound as distinctive as they should, without compromise
The Signature 3 Power amplifier is the smallest of three power amplifiers under design, it weighs in at over 60kg or 130lbs and offers the usual doubling of power into low impedance loads, however we have chosen to be honest with the specifications and openly admit that we first measured the output into 2 Ohms then worked back mathematically to arrive at our 300W specification into 8 Ohms 20-20kHz!! We will not use terms like distortion is in parts per million or billion or quote a signal to noise ratio at full output!! These are honest high end products that have been designed with only one thing in mind - the performance both technically and more importantly of the music. All other functions are powered from separate power supplies with their own dedicated transformers so that things such as displays and microcontrollers do not interfere with the music signal. All digital noise sources are fully screened from the sensitive analogue signals. Beyond all of this they have been designed to look stunning right down to the flight case they are supplied in, if high end has value for money, this is it!! All models in this range are fully compatible with multi room installations via RS232 control architecture, plus many other unique features. This is the start of a whole range of models including state of the art digital products like the forthcoming 24/384 times up-sampling CD/SACD player and 6 Channel up-sampling DAC's as well as 8 channel Audiophile quality analogue Pre-amps. These products will not only stand the test of time but will set new standards of performance, price and presentation for British Audio. Enjoy............ |
